If you cast your eyes back, we can all probably remember a time when individuals would invest their whole career in one company.

Back in the "good old days", many employees in our previous generations joined a company right out of school and stayed until retirement.

So...has company loyalty died a death?

In some ways, yes. If the employee and employer are both looking out for themselves, there isn't a true sense of loyalty back to the company - it can become a bit of a means to an end.

There are anomalies out there and loyalty does still exist. It is just the norm.
